Hi Nick - The EARTHSHIP (not Earship btw) is a 37 inch thick wall adobe structure basically made by pounding earth into tires and then stack the tires like bricks - Then the voids are filled with mud and soda or beer cans. Finally the walls are adobed or stucco'd.
These are time proven structures that have a light foot print on the earth and are extremely energy efficient.

I'm a retired easy going guy. When I started this blog in 20006, I was preparing my RV to travel in search of adventure and perhaps a new place to live. The name of the blog was On The Road With Gary. I visited Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico and decided to settle down.
I quit publishing the blog in 2008. I changed the name of the blog to Lake Chapala Expat.
